Circular
I haven't posted an image of Hannah for a while. I love this kid. She is the ultimate in entertainment.

Signs II - No Trespassing!
A picture is worth a thousand words. So I get sweet cred for this 1000 word post!
(Image shot with Vignette on the Platinotype setting.)

Jack Parry - All Around Good Chap
Jack Parry. I work with him often in my church and he is one of the best men I've ever met. He just plugs along with a smile on his face no matter what might be wrong with him personally. He has faith and hope and love in spades. He's one of my heroes.

A Case of the Baskets
This photo has a clear case of the baskets. What an awful disease, I suggest you don't go anywhere near them.
Shot in Vignette on the Toy Camera setting.

Lawn Ornament Persecution
DOWN WITH GNOMES!!
Some of my favorite pieces at the Utah Arts Fest were these whimsical, humorous metal figures. There was this whole theme of them kicking out, beating up, and tearing apart the traditional yard ornaments they were meant to replace.
Fun stuff.

Field Day
This is the front yard of a house I shot today in Rush Valley, Utah. Don't know where Rush Valley is? Neither does anyone else. It's about an hour from downtown through Tooele but you could go over the Oquirrh Mountains and be in Utah County in 40 minutes or so. It's a pretty place. Look below for a map.

Flight Time
Finally HOME! Flying into the Salt Lake Valley from the south over Herriman and Riverton after two weeks of traveling. We were on the beach of both oceans, hit two OCs, multiple amusement parks, and did a lot of work.
I miss my Hannah! (Seeing her little 2.5 year-old legs running as fast as they could when she saw us at the airport made life worthwhile. I love that little girl.)

National Sconces
Lights by the restrooms at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. I thought they were awesome. I want to put some in my house...smaller, perhaps.
I wait outside bathrooms a lot lately thanks to the pregnancy of one Lorena Woodbury. (Love you.)

Talking Late on the Porch
We spent out 5th anniversary in Harrisburg, VA with Lori's good friends, Britta and Tom. (I consider them good friends as well but they were hers first.) They are interesting and articulate and just really cool. I took this shot as we chatted into the night on their porch. Good times.

Beach View
The boardwalk in Ocean City, MD. I love this shot! I think it's one of my favorites of the year.
I took the shot originally with Vignette but wanted just a bit more personality. I opened it in PicSayPro and faded the colors just a bit then added the border.

Fan Flare - A Baseball Break
We took a break from Disneyland to enjoy a perfect day at the ballpark.
The Angels even won for us but we didn't care. It was the perfect weather for a day of baseball.

Cloud Path
Lots of cloud photos lately. That may be because I am so grateful for some decent weather. I always get down on life in the winter and I'm always grateful when spring comes around. Well it came a little later this year so I'm just loving the warm weather. I've always loved clouds and they simply never get old for me. I could shoot them every day and probably still be fascinated. I have no doubt that this will not be the last one.

"The Castle"
We stopped in Manti on the way out of town (California for my Mom's 60th birthday) to attend the sealing for our good friends Sam and Lindsey. They adopted this amazing little boy named Misha that they love to pieces! He looked awesome in his little white tuxedo. Congrats, guys. We love you.

Mount Olympus
I have always loved Mount Olympus, a beautiful peak overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. Yesterday had interesting shadows that highlighted the peak. Nature, you just made the One-a-day blog.

Funeral For a Great Man
Lori's uncle Dick passed away on Friday. His funeral today was a wonderful meeting. I love Mormon funerals. They inspire hope and push me to want to be a better father, husband, and human being. I always walk out uplifted. We will miss you, Uncle Dick.

The Contents of My Console
My car's console tray. Any thoughts about what this says about me?
There are definitely some strong indications that I'm a photographer.
Photo was shot in Vignette and the comic boxes were applied in PicSayPro.

Irises
My brother, Cleadus and his lovely wife have done some amazing things in their yard. We all get to benefit...and we didn't have to pull a single weed!

A Great Date With My Honey
Lori and I went to the temple Friday morning. It was a wonderful date and very comforting in a rough week.

Self Portrait with a Gimmick
Shot on a new app called Camera Illusion.
It's fun and very different from other photo apps in the effects it offers but the app is quite gimmicky. File sizes are too small to be really useful. I will keep it for doing something crazy on occasion but mostly it's not an app I'll put on the home page.

"Toys" or "My Daddy is a Table"
Hannah just decided that while I laid on the couch my chest needed to be doing something productive. I became her table.

Accidental bus
The photo of the bus as it drove through my frame was way more interesting than what I meant to shoot.
