Chapel in a Storm

This chapel with a red door in Tooele, Utah is deceiving. It looks small from the front but goes a long ways back.

Late Night Sushi

I love these below-the-street restaurants and clubs. I like this photo because if feels so candid and a bit voyeuristic. We were walking to our car from an event at the LDS Conference Center in Salt Lake City and it was freezing cold so I snapped this off and ran back to catch up with my pregnant freezing wife.
Shot on Vignette, of course.

Feet Shoes!

Hannah saw my sandals the other day and informed us that she just had to have some "feet shoes" of her own. She finally got them and pretty much won't take them off.
Best. Kid. Ever.

Date Night Day

I absolutely adore my wife. We had a date night but all we did was go get some food and hang out in the sun at the park. It was an awesome date.

Skyscape

This is a little diner near Lori's flower wholesaler...and a little glimpse of blue sky.

Flat...broke.

Three flat tires in a week. I'm thinking these are defective, you?

Blue. Finally

Finally, some blue sky!
I know Utah and it will probably snow next week.

Update: Dang it, I was right. A week later and it's snowing

Vainglorious Stubborness

You have to respect Walmart for holding out to get full price for a 5-year-old game!

I cracked up when I saw the father and son junkers on the front lawn. All together now, aaahhhh.

Towards Olympus

To Olympus

Mount Olympus is one of the peaks that overlooks the Salt Lake Valley. It's a majestic mountain and one of my favorite features of the valley. I wish it were no longer covered in snow, however. I'm ready for spring.

A Worshipful Celebration

Bountiful Temple

My whole family except my brother Scot (He was in Texas on business)went to the Bountiful Temple to celebrate the one-year anniversary of my dad's kidney transplant. What a blessing it has been in his life! Thank you to my other brother, David (aka Cleadus) for donating the kidney. We are grateful that he was a match and was willing to make the sacrifice.

Why We Carry Cameras in the First Place

The First Place

Capturing moments is why we carry cameras in the first place! Hannah was counting at lunch and was more than happy to pose for me.

Happy Easter!

Main Shot

Happy Easter! I wanted to really represent the day but I couldn't really photograph an empty tomb, so you get the more worldly interpretation instead. Candy's good though.
This is the faded color setting on Vignette for Android.

Priesthood Session

Main Shot

I am always fascinated by the Priesthood session of LDS General Conference. I don't think it's typical of the world we live in that thousands of men would willingly give up their Saturday night (after watching 4 hours of church meetings already) to attend YET ANOTHER two hours of church meetings. But every 6 months that is exactly what happens. This is an image of my father-in-law singing the half-time hymn.

I have noticed that I like to frame circles inside the frame of the image.
